March 14, 2015

EDCO has recently opened a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Public Fueling Station to serve North San Diego County!San Marcos CNG Public Fueling Stn. Map

Open to the public seven days a week and twenty four hours per day, the facility is conveniently located one block south of SR-78 at 168 S. Las Posas Road in San Marcos, in front of the EDCO facility. All major credit cards are accepted.

“This facility will be a key part of the regional infrastructure necessary to expand the use of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV),” said Steve South, President and CEO of EDCO. As both private and public fleets continue to search for environmentally safe, financially stable alternative fuels, CNG has emerged as a safe option that can reduce smog-producing pollutants by up to 90 percent and hydrocarbon emissions by 50-70 percent, compared to gasoline.

EDCO has been converting its fleet to CNG and presently operates over 130 CNG powered units. In addition, EDCO is also currently constructing a second San Diego County CNG Public Fuel Station, one block north of I-8 at 8173 Commercial Street in La Mesa.
